In a crowded café, a tech meetup, a late-night bar or even a train carriage, two people could be five feet apart—each carrying a spark the other needs—and never speak. One might be a brilliant coder. The other, a world-class designer. But without that nudge, that shared signal of presence, the moment passes. The spark is lost.
DinkLink was built to change that.
Inspired by the legendary pairing of Jobs and Wozniak—who together made a little dent in the universe—DinkLink is a proximity-powered connection app designed for serendipity. It helps people discover who’s nearby without giving too much away. No swiping, no photos, no likes. Just a simple sense of who’s close, whether they’re open to meeting, and a little micro-status.
DinkLink is powered entirely by Bluetooth. Your saved profile stays on your own device, while your nearby presence is local and temporary. When you leave Bluetooth range or stop appearing, that presence fades from the people around you. Nothing is uploaded to a DinkLink server or stored in a cloud profile. Even we—the creators—can’t see who you are.
There’s no messaging, no algorithms, no amplification, no attention traps. The sole purpose of the app is to get you off the app. Just enough presence to say:
"I’m here. And I’m open to meeting people."
